On Saturday the 1st XI travelled to Meigle for round 8 in the SPCU Breedon Division 1.

Meigle won the toss and decided to bat. DHSFPCC bowled and fielded extremely well taking all 10 wickets for 116 in 31.1 overs. The highlight of the innings was Darren Milne taking 5 wickets and finishing with figures of 9 overs, 1 maiden, 5 for 32. The other wickets were taken by Angus Beaumont (2), and one each for Brock Preston, Andrew Lowdon, and Angus Lindsay.

Noah Chapman (28) and Kevin Ancell (40 not out) opened the batting for DHSFPCC with a solid 50 partnership before Noah was bowled by Croll. Matthew Lowdon (42) and Kevin then put on a partnership of 66 before Mathew's wicket fell 2 runs short of the winning total. Fes Saeed and Kevin saw DHSFPCC surpass the Meigle total reaching 118 in 29.3 overs for the loss of just two wickets.

The victory sees DHSFPCC move to 3rd in the league with a record of 6 wins and 2 defeats.

The 1st XI welcomes Bredalbane to Dalnacraig on Saturday.
